As you can probably tell from all of the pictures there has been a lot going on in our lives so we thought we would sit down tonight and do a brief overview of the past year for those of you who haven't been updated.
We met August 28 in a Brigham Young University ward where Kevin was going to school and Jeanne was working as a registered nurse at Utah Valley Regional Hospital in the Newborn ICU and finishing up her bachelors in Nursing degree online. We started dating soon after that and by February knew we wanted to be married. Kevin graduated in April with his bachelors in Finance and was interviewing for jobs. This was a busy time for us as we were preparing for a wedding and finishing school, but we got through it.
We were married May 13, 2006 in the Salt Lake City Temple, and have been so happy since then. It was a wonderful day shared with family and friends. What a special time to be sealed for time and eternity in a beautiful temple and to know that our family will be together forever.
The next month was incredibly busy with a honeymoon to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (see pictures below), then we came back to Utah for a week and spent time with Jeanne's family. The next week we went to Wisconsin to look for an apartment and then flew to Albuquerque, New Mexico for an open house at Kevin's parent's home. The next few days we packed everything up, said our goodbyes and drove to Wisconsin.
Kevin was blessed with some very good job offers and we decided to go to Wisconsin to work for Kimberly-Clark Corporation, which is a consumer product company. You may recognize some of their products as Huggies, Kleenex, and Cottonelle. This was a difficult decision since it would mean moving far from family and friends, but it has been a blessing in disguise as we have enjoyed meeting new people and making new friends.
In our ward we have been called as ward missionaries which has been a great experience for us as we help the missionaries by going on splits or open our home for discussions. Kevin is also the activities chair and Jeanne is on the activities council so we are having fun helping with the activities at church.
Jeanne is working for an MRI clinic doing the contrast injections as well as for nurses PRN where she goes to school with a sweet little boy who requires a nurse to help him with daily activities. He makes being a nurse worth it with his smiles and positive attitude about life. Jeanne has been working all summer on finishing up her statistics class online in order to receive her bachelors in nursing. She took the final test October 2, 2006 and looks forward to receiving that diploma in December!
