We decided to take advantage of living only threehours from Chicago and stay one night in the city
right before Christmas. We walked along the
Magnificent Mile and it was amazing how many
stores there were. Everything was WAY over
our budget, so we just enjoyed watching everyone
else emptying their wallets. The ice skating
rink was open and they had Christmas music
playing, helping us to catch the spirit of the season
