We went to the Dr. on Tuesday November 27 and Jackson now weighs 10 pounds! AHH, my baby is growing up! He is 21 1/2 inches (two inches taller than his birth length) but in the 50th percentile for both weight and length. He is in the 25th percentile for his head circumference at 37 1/2 cm. Last night I got up at 1 AM to feed him and then woke up at 7:30 and he was still asleep! It felt good to get some sleep.
I'm having fun going crazy with trying to get things done around the house and taking care of Jackson. I decorated the apartment with Christmas stuff and I'm excited to get our tree so we can hang ornaments. Right before Kevin came home today I was feeding Jackson and then he spit up all over. He needed a diaper change so I did that and changed his clothes. Then I remembered I had left the rice on the stove to boil. So I took Jackson in to turn the heat down and realized it had overflowed all over the stovetop that I had just cleaned! As I was trying to decide what to do, Jackson spit/threw up all over himself, me and the floor! So I put him in the sink and took off my sweater (100% wool- I think I now have about six sweaters that are hand wash only which have been spit up on) then I took off his clothes, when Kevin came in and helped me bathe him. I have christmas decorations all over the apartment and its just a mess. But the good news is, Jackson now likes his swing! He fell asleep in it during dinner so his parents could eat together! How thoughtful. Good thing babies come so cute! Although he is a handful we wouldn't give him back. We can't imagine life without our little man. Kevin loves to come home and through him into the air-(which makes grandma a little nervous). They are best buds. He makes US cry sometimes, but also makes us laugh with the faces he makes, especially his latest "pouty" face. He has found his tongue and sticks it out at us often. It is amazing to watch him grow and see him try new things every day.

Oh the life of a mom. Sounds like things are going great though. He is darling and I can't believe how big he is getting! Keep up the good work. Hopefully some day we will get to see him in person :)
Awww... how sweet! Yeah, sometimes I feel bad as a parent when I think it's cute when my children cry... just their little face... it's so sad and cute at the same time!!! :)
