Dangerous Workout!
I saw a car flying through the air today. No seriously, you didn't read that wrong. So, Jackson and I were jogging (okay actually I was jogging and he was sleeping) and I had just come around a bend on Jefferson and about 20 Pl. W. when ahead of me about 100 meters this car came whirling around a curve, but it wasn't able to turn fast enough. The tire hit some mud and the car caught some air and landed in a ditch. It would have rolled if it hadn't stuck to all the mud in the ditch. I immediately picked up my pace to see if the passenger was okay. There was a car behind me that had just come around the bend as the accident happened. It was a couple who made it to the scene right before me and they were helping a young girl out of the car. Her passenger window was shattered and she was bleeding on her chest, arm and quite a bit on her knee. She was a little dazed and not sure what had just happened. We helped her call her brother and calm down a little. People kept stopping by to help and someone who lived nearby came over with wet wipes to wipe up the blood. An ambulance and fire truck showed up and made sure the girl was okay. Then I had to wait around for the police to come since I was a witness. It was crazy and I felt so bad for the girl, but it made me realize how I need to be more careful when I drive. Also, I feel so blessed because we could have easily been hit by that car had we been a little further down the road, and I would not be here typing this story. Sometimes I think these incidents are put in our life to remind us of how much we have and that we should enjoy every moment.

Scary!
Jeanne! I'm glad you found me! I will check often. We will talk soon.
Yikes, that is scary. Good thing you are a nurse and know what to do in situations like that! Glad you both were safe. We have an very "active" neighborhood! :)
What a scary story. It is one of the reason that C and I started walking in the trailer park because there are so few sidewalks to walk on around here and so many cars. I'm glad things were okay. I am amazed at some of the accidents that we have seen and that people have walked away from. It is one of the reasons you really hate to see your children learn to drive. I think it does help us to realize that we need to be careful. Mark's 16 yr old nephew was killed in an accident (he was driving) along with another young man. It really changes your perspective on things.
P.S. I love your new family picture.
Oh, how scary! I'm so glad you're okay and the girl was okay. What a wonderful reminder to be careful, treasure every day and be grateful for our blessings.
