Yummy Bread Dough
Today I put Jackson down for his usual nap at about 3:30 and he never really fell asleep. This always seems to happen when I have a lot to do during that time. I was planning on making lasagna and french bread. I was right in the middle of it all when Kevin called to tell me he was on his way home, and I heard Jackson crying in his room. So I went and grabbed him and put him in his green bumbo chair on the kitchen counter. There was a big bowl with the bread dough inside and a large wooden spoon stuck in the dough. Jackson grabbed hold of the spoon and I figured that would be a good toy for him to play with while I was making everything else. My dad called in the meantime so I was busy talking to him and putting the finishing touches on the lasagna. Then I turned back around to see Jackson's hand inside his mouth and he was sucking on it vigorously. I knew something must be up, so I took his hand out of his mouth, and sure enough there was a huge piece of dough that was sopping wet, stuck to his fingers. I quickly pried it off while laughing hysterically. Jackson just stared at me, wondering what was wrong with his mommy and my dad was asking what was so funny. The scary thing is that he isn't even crawling or walking yet! What in the world am I going to do when he does???
