Meeting the Animals

Last week for playgroup we went to the Zoo! I think I was initially more excited than Jackson, just because this was his first time ever to see many of the animals he reads about in all his books. It was fun to see how he reacted to them all. We carpooled with a few friends and had a great time. I didn't take as many picture as I thought I would because with Jackson running around, I realized it was too hard to hold the camera and chase him. In this picture the three boys were watching this water spray from the rock and they obviously thought it was the funniest thing. I had to capture it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a dangerous photo shoot. While trying to get their picture, I tripped over a rock that was out of my vision (think big belly in the way!) , lost my balance and completely fell onto my side. Of course I was trying to protect the camera and didn't even catch myself. I was pretty scraped up on my knee and ankle, but all I could think about was the baby, since a good portion of my belly hit the ground. Everything is okay though, but I'm sure I put on a pretty good show for those watching!Here's my little climber trying to get into the goat's cage. If you can zoom in you'll see his little curls in the back. His hair naturally does that these days. I don't know if its the humidity here, or if he will just have slightly curly hair.

I thought this was a cute picture of all the kiddos looking at the animals. They had a lot of fun together that day!
