It seems like forever since I actually posted and I miss the blogging world! My hands have been full lately with a toddler who is perfectly capable of being potty trained, but has figured out that he has the power to control whether we have a good day or a bad day. I know its going to be a bad day when he wakes up saying he wants to "sit" and go "poo poo" but then turns and runs away when I mention that he should sit on the potty. He knows that he can yell "sit, poo poo" while he is supposed to be taking a nap, and I will come running to get him. (Somehow he hasn't figured out that he can get out of his bed without me entering the room- that is a blessing!) As if that isn't taking all my time, Kaitlyn has been officially crawling now for close to three weeks and she is all over the place. I seriously don't know how she moves so fast sometimes. I have to always remind myself to put the gate up so she won't fall down the stairs- scary. Not only is she crawling, but she has also been teething for the past few weeks and it is miserable. My once easy-going baby has become high maintenance. So, those are my excuses for not blogging much lately. :)
Jackson found out how much shaving gel can be. I let him play with it on this old cookie sheet I have. Then I got smart and started putting him in an empty bath tub. That way it keeps him busy and he cleans the tub for me!
For one family home evening in January we bought items to send to Haiti. Jackson and Kaitlyn had fun putting them in bags.

And taking a bath together.

I thought I'd gone totally wrong with my kids because Jackson has had absolutely no vegetables (actually he has but he doesn't know it because I hide them in his food! hahaha) since he was about 18 months old. I made butternut squash one day and he LOVED it! We have had lots of squash at the dinner table since then!

I love this post! It's just real life...real busy life with two young, busy kids!! Your kids are too cute!
I laughed when I read that thing about no vegetables for MONTHS! That's when you realize, this kiddo is strong-willed! Good thing he's got a smart mom who can sneak veggies in without him knowing.
You've been busy!! Tell Jackson that I like squash too- yum!
I can't believe I'll get to see you all soon- yipee! It will be fun to have all stages- a todler, a crawler, a young baby.
