Jackson is totally involved with the Jimmermania going on around here! The other day I read him a library book called "The Ugly Truckling." Its basically the same story as The Ugly Duckling, only its about a mother truck who has a bunch of 'baby trucklings" but one of them looks very different than the rest. At the end of the book Jackson asked why the ugly truckling (who turned out to be an airplane) was so sad. I said "because the ugly truckling didn't know who he was, but you know who you are right? What is your name?" To which Jackson replied "Jimmer!!!" Oh boy. When I was telling a friend about that story and got to the end I again asked Jackson what his name is and this time he said "Cosmo!"
Thursday morning we got home from our music class and the kids went downstairs to play. Then I heard Kaitlyn crying and getting really upset. I thought she was just tired and ready for her nap. Then both kids came upstairs and they were only wearing their BYU shirts and a diaper (Kaitlyn) and underwear (Jackson). Jackson was running after Kaitlyn with his little basket ball shorts and saying "Kaitlyn, put these on." I realized that Jackson had not only taken off Kaitlyn's pants, but also her long sleeve shirt so that she could be all dressed up like the basketball players! Jackson also gave her some "basketball shoes" which are even too big for him. Kaitlyn will wear them all around the house and talk about her shoes.
Its fun to watch Jackson as he grows up. He teaches his little sisters all kinds of things (good and bad). He absolutely LOVES his sunbeams class at church. His teachers always ask us if he talks at all and I just start laughing. I guess he is pretty quiet in there, just soaking it all in, because he comes home and tells us all that he has learned.
