Kaitlyn's Blessing

Kaitlyn was blessed on Sunday August 2nd.

She got to wear the dress that both my mother and I wore when we were blessed. I also wore this bonnet on my blessing day. I'm so glad my mom kept them in good shape all these years.

She was one tired little girl when we got home so most of her pictures were taken with her eyes closed, but they turned out pretty cute!

Sweet dreams little one...

After her photo shoot, we decided to just leave Kaitlyn where she was so she would keep sleeping. We went in to check on her a couple hours later and this is what we saw...
She slid off of the pillows she was laying on. It was a good thing we had moved her into the middle of the bed so she didn't slide off the bed!

It was so nice to have family in town for Kaitlyn's blessing. My cousins Justin and Melonee and their kids also came to the blessing, but had to leave before we took this picture.

Kaitlyn Jean is named after me and my mom (Carol Jean).

Its exciting to see our family grow. We've been so blessed to have Jackson and Kaitlyn enter our lives and can't wait to meet any others who will join our family in the future. Right now Kevin is in Wisconsin for work and I am in Utah with the kids. Its hard to be apart and we miss you Kevin. We can't wait to see you!

So fun! Beautiful pictures. Alyssa wore my blessing dress - I love that Kaitlyn's was your mom's too - awesome!

Love the pictures. So neat that you were able to pass that dress down.

That dress is awesome. Wow. Also, I am extremely jealous of anyone (including you) who has a baby who is calm and collected during his/her blessing. If you don't remember, MY son screamed the whole time. Sigh.

I'd never put the Carol "Jean" and "Jean"ne thing together before. Wow! She looks beautiful! What a lucky girl to have such a great mom and grandma too! Big shoes to fill with that name though! But she did a good job in that beautiful dress...so I'm sure she'll do fine!
