Two weekends ago we got to visit Kevin's parents who are serving a mission for our church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) in St. Louis, Missouri. It had almost been a whole year since we had last seen them and they hadn't even met Kaitlyn yet. We had so much fun. We got there Thursday night, which was Ron's birthday so we got to celebrate with him. Then on Friday we went to visit them in the mission office. It was really neat to see where they spend a lot of their time and to be able to meet the people that they work with!

That afternoon, we went to The Magic House, which is this huge children's museum. It just so happened to be completely free that weekend because they were celebrating their 30th birthday party! And it was a party! I was amazed at this place.

He went fishing, caught a fish and let it go in a little pond. Then he got to follow it down this little stream back to where he first caught the fish.

Kevin and Jackson repaired this car...

This place isn't just for kids. Adults can have fun here too! Ellen was putting these shapes together.

Ron put his face into this pin screen. Can you see the resemblance?

He also got the party going by slapping this flip flop against the pipes to make some music! Aren't grandparents great?

This was the water section and Jackson had lots of fun pouring water into containers.

Jackson has recently decided that he loves to build with legos, so this part was so fun for him -jumbo sized legos!

Daddy taught him how to golf.

He even got to meet Curious George.

On Saturday morning Kevin's parents were kind enough to watch our kids while we went to the temple together. This was a big deal considering that we now live 3 hours away from our temple (Chicago) and so finding a baby sitter is going to be hard. We will probably have to do most sessions separately while the other one watches the kids. It was a beautiful day and the fall colors made it even better!

We went to the St. Louis Carousel which was built in the 1920s. It only cost $1 to ride it, so Jackson got to ride it a couple times and Kaitlyn even got to ride it (she was free).

After the carousel rides we went outside and took some pictures. You may have notices that we have a new family picture at the top of our blog. It was about time we got that updated!

What a treat for both your family & Kevin's parents. I bet they loved having you visit. Cute family picture, too.
That is fun! I like visiting other children's museums. We went to one in Vegas that had a clifford exhibit- so cute.
Glad you were able to visit Kevin's parents. I'm sure they loved seeing Kaitlyn.
I've been up that arch! I went with my mom and sisters years ago. I was there when it was 112 degrees outside so a bit warmer. :)
Looks like you had a great time. I know Grandparents love seeing their grandkids. I can't believe how big the kidos are getting. We missed you at the Ward Halloween gathering. Oh, they took Kellie away from us... not sure why.
Such fun things! That childrens museum looks amazing! Hopefully you'll find another couple to go to the temple with and do a swap or something - that would be a little more fun then doing separate sessions :)
That looks like a lot of fun! Good for you for going to the temple. I feel guilty that the Redlands Temple is so close to us and we still don't make it there every month. I've never been to St. Louis and it looks like a fun place!
