Kev's first day of school! He was pretty excited to get started after two weeks of orientation.
That night for Family Home Evening we went to the duck pond. The kids absolutely loved it.

A few weeks ago Kaitlyn woke up later than usual in the morning. When I peeked in at her, I discovered that she had thrown up sometime during the night. I kept trying to figure out what would have made her sick and hoping it was just something she ate. But later that day I started feeling REALLY sick and later threw up. Not a pleasant experience. I was pretty sick all that night and the next day. It was wonderful to feel like myself again and even have enough strength to go running the day after. But then that night while racing around to get dinner ready, I caught my little toe on a chair and I'm pretty sure its broken. Its amazing how such a little thing can keep me from walking like a normal person. I literally crawled or hopped around the house for two days. My kids thought I was a little strange and so did my husband! Since then I've been walking on the inside of my foot and it has affected my ankle, knee and hip. I already have problems with my sciatic nerve during pregnancy, but this has aggrevated it a lot more. Its been so frustrating that I can't exercise especially since its been extra nice weather. Its been two weeks and I still can't get my foot into a shoe because of the pain. Hopefully it will heal soon.

On a more pleasant note, we drove up to Squaw Peak to see the beautiful colors of Autumn!

It was a bit windy up there, but we had fun.

I'm putting this picture in because it shows off Kaitlyn's big "owie" she got when she fell down our cement stairs outside our house. Poor thing. It looked a whole lot worse when it first happened. If you click on it you can see it better.

Being sick and then having this toe problem has made me stop and think about what I am thankful for. Our bodies are amazing things and I take mine for granted most of the time.
There you go, I'm sure you all wanted to see how it looks. I especially thought my sister Tiffany might enjoy it since she loves big bruises (I know you only like them on yourself though Tiff).

Oh- your toe looks so painful!! It is a pretty cool bruise but I'm sad that it's hurting you so much and keeping you from exercising. :(
