Madison is One Week

Madison is one week old, as of last night at 9:42 PM. Its hard to believe its been a whole week, but that's just how life is with kids. It flies by! Yesterday I was getting ready to give Madison a bath and Kevin (he is out of school this whole week-yay!) decided to do a photoshoot with her. I thought the pictures turned out really well. Forget the professionals! We might just save some money this time around.

Ay one week Madison is still VERY SLEEPY! She sleeps most the day. I have to wake her up for every feeding. At night she wakes herself up to let me know she is hungry, but she still does really well. I don't have to get up more than twice at night to feed her. She is definitely the best sleeper so far out of our three kids. I'm just hoping it stays that way. I do have to say I did a lot of research beforehand on sleep training babies and it seems to be paying off. But, we'll see if its just luck so far or if she keeps up the good sleep habits!

She is starting to lift her head up a lot more and when she opens her beautiful eyes we all run over to see them! Jackson is the biggest helper ever. He is right there to do anything I ask -as long as its for "baby Madison"! He will wrap her up in blankets to make sure she isn't getting cold. Its very sweet. Kaitlyn is so excited to see Madison each day. She is still getting the hang of being gentle, but loves to give the baby toys and babies to play with.

Today was my first day alone with all three kids since Kevin had some meetings and studied on campus. I actually survived though. Thank goodness it was a REALLY nice day with the sun shining, so the kids rode their bikes, ate lunch outside, drew with sidewalk chalk, and played in the dirt with some little shovels. Then they all took naps and I got one too! I couldn't have asked for a better day!
