Traveling Across the Country- Day Two

We woke up on our second day and it was still pouring rain! Poor Kevin had to load the car and was soaking wet when he came back in. Driving was crazy because the rain was coming down so hard. This is what it looked like outside our window.



We drove about nine hours, but it was a little longer with Chicago traffic. At the hotel we ate dinner and then went swimming. While the two kids were taking baths, Jackson decided to"help" Kaitlyn with her hair, so he poured the shampoo over her head, including her eyes! Not the most fun part of the trip. Getting everyone to sleep was once again hysterical. I was very happy when Madison slept until 3:30 AM. Unfortunately Kaitlyn woke up and decided she wanted to play for the next hour and a half! Kevin took her into the lobby so the rest of us could sleep. But this morning we are all still smiling. I'm glad I took this picture right before we went into the hotel yesterday. That's not really where Madison sits while we are driving, but my kids got a kick out of it!
