Today is my wonderful husband's birthday and for the first time in about a month it is raining in Wisconsin! We must have brought it with us from Seattle! It kinda puts a damper on the birthday plans, so hopefully we can find something else to do. I feel like there are a million things to blog about and pictures to post, but I only have our laptop right now and don't feel like waiting forever for the pictures to load. Plus I am still unpacking, so I will update you all on our travels....sometime! (Soon hopefully!)
I do have to say that driving was quite the experience. In the first four hours Kevin and I were about ready to turn around and go with plan B (whatever that was). But it all turned out to be a fun family trip across the country. We went to our new ward on Sunday and it is very small, almost branch size. There were 10 women in Relief Society! But they were all super friendly and helped us all to feel comfortable there. I feel like this is where we are supposed to be. We also got to our old ward and see a ton of people that we love and have missed for the past 2 1/2 years. It was like seeing family again.
For a home-warming gift, my parents sent us a box of Brigham City peaches! They taste so good. It was just what I needed last weekend. Thanks mom and dad!
I will be posting pictures of our home but until then, I just have to say that I LOVE pulling into a garage, shutting it (actually Jackson always insists on opening and shutting it) and then letting Jackson out of the car and not feeling guilty about leaving him to play in a parking lot while I carry Kaitlyn inside. There is so much more room here. Jackson will have a whole unfinished basement to play in. Also, we have a nice backyard and a jogging trail as well! Its just what I've always dreamed about. Okay, pictures will be coming. To all those in Seattle- we miss you a ton. I'm sure there are new families moving in that will be fun though!

Glad you made it!! Moving (especially with kids) is SO not easy! At least you're there now and can start to get settled! Where are you in Wisconsin? We're in Minnesota now...so we're probably not too far from each other!

Glad to know you're getting settled in your new place! A backyard? That's awesome! So whenever your little guy is destroying the house... you can send him outside to play! :) I look forward to pics!
So glad you are liking it there.... I was hoping maybe you would change your mind and turn around and come back... oh well. We do miss you and you missed meeting my girls. Oh well, maybe one day.

Glad to hear you guys are settling in. Isn't being in a house fabulous?! I'm jealous you have a garage! :) I hope unpacking is going smoothly-- well as smoothly as it can with two little ones!
