Our Big Move

Yes, I am FINALLY posting! I actually started this post last week, and life has just been a little crazy, plus I either have a cold or allergies that aren't helping much. Okay, here is the story of our moving experience. There are lots of pictures, but I'm doing this so that I can look back and remember all these people that we had to say goodbye to. There were actually a lot more people. I feel bad that I didn't get more pictures!

This is a family that I worked with. We had fun visiting them and they got to meet Kaitlyn for the first time.

Julianne and Paul let Jackson in their truck and I thought I'd have to just leave him there. Its a little boy's heaven! We miss them already (they were great babysitters!) And I miss you too Colleen!

Here are the young men that Kevin taught on Sundays. They kept him on his toes, but I know he misses working with them.

Thank you Goodwins for these cupcakes with the sweet message!

A group of friends got together one night and look at all the goodies they brought!

Allison, I miss our talks during basket ball and our playdates.

One night when the Nelsons were over Kevin swaddled Jackson up like a baby. So we swaddled Toph and Kaitlyn as well. We all thought it was pretty funny that Jackson just sat there. Toph and Kaitlyn didn't think it was so funny...
And these two wonderful people...

...we miss you so much. There is no one quite like you. No one who can entertain Jackson or keep graham crackers in their cupboard like you do. Jackson carries his little book bag that you made him around everywhere. It goes into the car, and then it comes back into the house. We miss walking to your house for surprise visits. We're so glad we were blessed enough to have you in our lives!

These are some random shots, but they show some of our good friends. Aimee Hall (her head) Tawnya Valentine, Heidi Lublin, Verla Douge (her back) Stacey Sears, Jacque Herrman (back) Diana Herrman (back) Michelle Leavitt holding Maya.

Kyle Lublin, Todd Valentine.

Tawnya Valentine with Lucy. Lucy and Kaitlyn are a month apart.

And there are more pictured here. Plus a whole bunch that aren't pictured at all. We're glad we've had a chance to get to know you!

During the moving process this is what Jackson was up to. He climbed into Kaitlyn's crib one day and they were in there talking to each other.

He also put on one of my headbands and strutted around the house!

Kevin found these headphones and Jackson wanted to try them out...

Kevin had to say goodbye to his work and Puget Sound.

And then the packing began. And the best part was sitting around while the packers did all the work!

Actually we still had a lot to do like pack our own stuff and give the packers some direction.

Jackson LOVED the big truck parked outside our place. He even got to go look inside it!

We left around 5:00 on Thursday afternoon and drove to Spokane. Those were probably the longest 4 hours I've ever experienced. We wondered what we had gotten ourselves into. Both kids were tired and kept waking each other up. But the rest of the trip went a lot better. Jackson got this big waterbottle of gatorade.

We drove through Yellowstone and saw some wildlife up close!

We also drove through Cody, WY where Kevin was born. This is the house he and his family lived in.

There were all these deer in the back yard of one of the houses on his cul de sac.
Someone must know that driving through South Dakota can get a little monotonous so they stuck this out in the middle of no where, right off the freeway...What the???

Its a hammer and a bulls head and little creatures dancing around it. Strange.
We stopped at a few other places just to stay the night. One was Rochester, Minnesota where
the Mayo Clinic started. And our last stop...Wisconsin. More pictures to come of our new place!

You made me cry.... I really miss you. At church on Sunday it really hit (first time at church since you left). I had my little bag of treats and no one to give them too... but then Zander sat by us and I gave him smarties.... I kept thinking, "I miss Jackson, oh and his parents too."

Cute. It looks like you guys had fun. I have some pictures of when you came over to our house before you left and Kaitlyn and Lucy look a lot alike. Every time Todd sees that picture he says, Which one's our daughter? They look pretty similar in the picture you put up of them too. Funny.

I love love love the picture of Jackson swaddled with the other babies! And I also love the picture of him in the bassinet! Too Cute! Jack always puts on my headbands too, but he always takes them off telling me he has a headache. I believe him. Good luck out there!
