Christmas was a little different this year. We got to visit Kevin's parents who are serving a mission for our
church and his sisters also came to visit. It was so fun to be with them and spend some time together as a family. The reason it was a little different is because on Christmas Eve we were all sitting around eating dinner and I was trying to get Jackson to eat something (as usual). He really wasn't interested until we offered him some chocolate milk. He drank some of that, and then threw up! He hasn't thrown up in about a year so this was a little weird. I gave him a bath and helped him get comfortable. Kevin started getting a little queasy after that, but he usually has a pretty weak stomach, so we thought nothing of it. But he didn't feel like finishing the rest of his dinner (which was the Mexican Feast Kevin's family always makes on Christmas Eve) and pretty soon he was throwing up as well! Soon after that I put Jackson down to bed, but he woke up, throwing up and then threw up again after taking a drink of water. Kevin was throwing up all during this time and Kevin's sisters were so sweet to clean up after Jackson (all over his bed!!!) Thankfully Jackson slept for the rest of the night, but Kevin was up most of the night, as well as Kaitlyn (not because she was throwing up, but just because she was being a baby). Obviously we didn't get much sleep, so we all slept in on Christmas morning. Both guys seemed to feel a lot better, but they didn't eat much that day. It was pretty miserable and I just wished I could take it away from them. We figured it was food poisoning because Kevin and Jackson were the only ones who ate pasta at a salad bar buffet that day, but then the day after Christmas Kevin's sister, Lauri also got sick so I was so worried the rest of the trip that Kaitlyn was going to get it. No one else ended up getting it though so that was good. Christmas was still very fun, as you can see in the pictures below.

I love how Kaitlyn looks like she just woke up. She got this little piano that she is very good at pounding on!

I think this is Kaitlyn's favorite toy. A soft little doll that she can hug and chew on!

I loved this. Jackson wanted to play with all of Kaitlyn's toys, but at least he would read this one to her!

Jackson tried on his Aunt Shari's boots. It was hilarious.

Then he fake tripped and fell on poor Lauri who was sick at the time!

Jackson asked everyone to draw him a train, and then he would ask them all again, and again, and again....well you get the idea. But he had a lot of fun with his grandparents.

I think Kaitlyn won the hearts of her grandpa and grandma Grossarth!

I am so so so so sorry! That's horrible that your family was sick on Christmas. How fun that you got to spend it with your in-laws while on their mission. I love the picture of Jackson reading to Kaitlyn. So cute!
