Some Cute Pics of the Kids and a Date Night!

I thought this picture was so cute of Jackson, Kaitlyn and their friends watching a movie. We have been so lucky this summer to live in the same complex as another family doing their internship from BYU as well! Their two girls are about the same ages as our kids and so we were able to swap a couple times for date nights!

Kevin's internship had a special night (actually two nights and a brunch, but this was all I could attend) just for the interns. It was fun to get dressed up.

The event was held at the National Constitution Center and it was a really nice night. They had statues of all the men who signed the constitution.

Ben Franklin is sitting in the chair.

Kevin is hanging out with his tall buddy George Washington.

On July 20th, Kaitlyn came to me and said "I want a bow in my hair." What???? My little girl who has been ripping them out since she could touch her head? It is a new day!

When we were in Palmyra for the Hill Cumorah Pageant, my sisters watched our kids so that Kevin and I could go to the temple. When we got back to the hotel I noticed that only Kaitlyn's clothes were still sitting on the table in our hotel room(I had left out clothes for all the kids to get dressed in). When we walked into the other hotel room and I saw Kaitlyn, I just started laughing. My sisters had mixed up the girls clothes and put Madison's on Kaitlyn. I love those moments!

Don't worry, we changed her so that people didn't think we were going for that look!

I have been wanting to get a picture of all the kids feet since Madison was born. Well it only took 5 1/2 months and its not quite what I was going for. But its the best I could do one afternoon when it was just me against the kids. The best part is that the feet with the painted nails do not belong to either of my girls!

These two made a bed on the coffee table. At first just Kaitlyn was in there, but then Jackson decided to climb in as well. They were laughing hysterically. It was so much fun to see them together.

Recently, Kaitlyn has taken a special interest in Madison. Kay calls her "my baby" and is much more gentle with her. She will sit and talk with Madison like they are telling stories together. It is so sweet. I'm hoping they will be great friends like me and my sisters are.

By the way, Madison is 5 months here. Since I probably won't get around to making a separate post, I'd better write a little about her 5th month on this earth. She has been rolling over and getting really good at it. She rolls from back to front and has started moving a little to reach what she wants. She is also just starting to sit up which she loves. She always wants to be a part of whatever her older siblings are doing. Madison is so much more aware of things. Whenever I paint her toe nails, she will grab at them, so I have to repaint them and try to keep her hands away as much as possible while they dry. She just started rice cereal last week and isn't a huge fan, but definitely likes sucking on the spoon. She just tried mashed bananas and seems to like that flavor a little bit more. She is such a happy little girl and gets so excited to see any of us. She will wiggle her arms and legs around and squeal. Kicking in the bath tub is a blast, especially when she gets Jackson soaking wet! This is one of my favorite ages for sure.

I love the pic of the 4 kids watching a movie- they are all sitting still which is amazing! Those kiddos are so cute- I can't wait to see them in a few days! Kaitlyn looks like a little version of you, Jean.

Thanks for the update Jeanne! I am glad to see that things are going well in Pennsylvania. What an adventure. I can't believe that Madison is already 5 months! And Jackson and Kay are growing so big! The pictures are fabulous, and definitely made me laugh! What cuties you have on your hands!
