Kaitlyn's Preschool Fieldtrips

Each month for Kaitlyn's preschool we go on a field trip.  In September we went to the Ballard Locks   which provides a link for boats between the salt water of Puget Sound and the fresh water of the Ship Canal, which connects eastward to Lake Union and Lake Washington.  Yeah, I got that last part off their website because I didn't really know the best way to describe it.  Anyway, its pretty neat to see the huge ships come through and get lowered down or raised up in the lock.  They also have a fish ladder for salmon to get from fresh water and salt water.

There are all the preschool kids, plus a few siblings.

For the month of October we went to a pumpkin farm.  They took us on a tour where we saw a replica of early pioneers,

saw lots of baby animals, including piglets,

walked through a garden with carrots, sunflowers, and many other plants,

and then we got to pick out little pumpkins!

Poor Madison could hardly carry hers!

When these two want to, they can be the best of friends!
