Playa del Carman

In the middle of May Kevin and I escaped to Mexico for eight days.  Eight days of not changing diapers, or making food, swimming, playing in the ocean, going on excursions and enjoying time together!  This was the view from our room:

This was one of our first dinners in the Italian restaurant at the hotel.  Every day we simply chose a place to eat and it was all included in the total price.  I loved it.

We went to a theme park called Explor which was built around a cave.  It was one of the neatest places I've been to.

We got to do tons of zip lines which we couldn't capture on camera.  The view from that high up was amazing.  Wish I could have taken a picture.  But we did from this zip line where we rode on a hammock into the water below.

An iguana blocking the bridge that we needed to get across!

We got to drive these super cool jeeps through caves and water.

While in Mexico, Kevin took me to a grocery store.  Not too different than I'm used to, but still cool to see.

We watched a few weddings on the beach.

And the most memorable part by far was worshiping with the saints at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints that was close by.  A member there picked us up and drove us there, which was so nice because it was raining.  However, most members showed up soaking wet after walking there.  It was so neat to see how faithful they are.  Even though I didn't understand most of what was said, the feeling there was truly amazing.  I loved their church building.  Isn't it beautiful?

The hotel had shows each night and one was this spider man showing off his super powers!  Its all Jackson wanted to hear about when we got back.

He thinks its awesome that mom and dad got a picture next to two spider men!

The food was great, especially these two dishes that Kevin LOVED!

It was hard to leave this view,

and all the pampering, but we really missed the kids the last few days.  That made it much easier to go back!
