Christmas Morning?

We wanted to get a bike for Kaitlyn's birthday, way back in June, but it didn't happen since we were in temporary housing in Seattle.  We thought we would just get it for Christmas, but she kept stealing Jackson's bike every chance she got.  So we decided to get her bike while we still have a few nice days left.  We bought it one Friday night and Kevin put it together.  That Saturday morning was just like waking up on Christmas.  Kaitlyn rode it all over the house and then couldn't wait to take it outside. So glad we got it.

I haven't done a great job of talking about my kids individually lately.  My Kaitlyn is such a joy.  I have to say that her 2 year old days were a breeze and she was saving up for year 3!  She and I disagree on a lot and she lets me know about it!  Tantrums can be bad, but then there comes a point where she just looks over at me and I hold out my arms and we snuggle for a while.  Sometimes she just ends up falling to sleep too.  She can be such a sweet heart.  She knows how to make Madison scream, but can also be so gentle with her.  My favorite moments lately are when Jackson gets her out of her car seat to go to preschool.  She opens up her arms and says "Jackson, hug."  Then they hug and every time I wish I could capture that on camera.
We also love singing to her every night.  She has begun to LOVE singing and learning new songs.  She always asks us to sing "I am a Child of God" and "Silent Night" and she sings right along with us.

Please don't say that 2 yrs was a breeze like everyone seems to say! I'm pretty sure I won't survive if it gets that much worse...
