Jackson Turned 5

Jackson had only been waiting 365 days for his 5th birthday to arrive.  So when the day came, we really celebrated!  First up was "spider man" pancakes.  Don't tell him that the only resemblance these have to the super hero are the colors.  I tried to fulfill the request and he seemed happy with it.  Good thing...

Jackson was so happy that he got to go to school on his birthday since he got to wear a crown.  This was the outfit of choice and he even posed for me.

We went to dinner that night and they brought Jackson this big cupcake.  He was so happy that they actually sang happy birthday to him!  Gotta love being a kid!

Jackson had been begging to "build a bear" so that's what we did.

Those stuffed animals got lots of love.

And they have been hugged ever since!

Then they had their baths.

Thanks to grandparents Jackson was completely spoiled with presents.

The next day was Saturday and we had a birthday party!  Jackson wanted to help set everything up.  It was a spider man theme of course.

The boys had to eat "super hero' food to get their super powers.

Then they blew up balloons with baking soda and vinegar.

All the kids lined up to have a chance at breaking the spider man pinata.

They each got a few tries before the poor guy was destroyed.

And then there was lots of candy on the ground...

Even Madison joined in on the fun!  And she did her best to open up the candy since everyone else seemed to be too busy.

Jackson had to show his friends some of the presents he got the night before.

They had a super hero fight with these sticky fingers.

They were all lined up to spray silly string and then we decided to go into the garage (it was freezing cold outside).

Kaitlyn felt like she was one of the guys!  She had just come straight from ballet.

I love how excited Preston is here.  At first they need help spraying.

But they quickly caught on.

And then cake and ice cream.  Sorry for the sugar high parents!

Jackson is still talking about his birthday party.  What fun!
