Komo 4 News Update
So, I thought I'd better give an update on the Komo 4 News post. I have to say, I was pretty disappointed with what they showed on the news. It was only about 10 seconds long, which is fine. I didn't really want to be on TV very long. But what they decided to show made it sound like I am scared to death of the swine flu. Its funny because I really talked a lot about how I'm not that worried, just taking the normal precautions like washing my hands often. I've decided that's why so many people are overreacting- because the news turns it into something scary. Anyway, it was a fun story to write about in my journal. And I enjoyed every one's comments!

I'd be irked if my words were twisted like that! Sue them! Haha, okay don't... but yeah, that would be a little irritating! Oh well... life goes on. :)
When Sami was about 5 she was figure skating and at a competition a channel 5 news crew picked her out of a bunch of kids to interview. They just asked her innocent questions about what her favorite jump was or did she love to skate. They said they would air the story that night. So we waited and waited and waited! We waited for them to air it for like 2 weeks. Finally we decided they weren't going to. I think it was like 4 months later Sami came home from school & told us her friend had seen her on tv skating. That was cool until we found out they used the pictures with a story about the buildings director who hadn't been paying his bills and such. No wonder they lied about the air date! Made me so mad but at least everyone saw how cute my Sami was! I think I have a picture of her then. I will have to post it on my blog!
Interesting story Heidi about Sami. I still think it's funny they were asking you these questions. The news is usually way overexaggerated so I believe you weren't really that scared! ha!
Heidi (W), you should post a picture of Sami. I bet it was so much fun to watch her ice skate at that age.
Can you post the interview? We don't get channel 4 (Dish battle).. Don't you just love reporters?
